Herbal Therapy

Chinese herbalism is the oldest continually practiced medical profession in the world with a history of over three thousand years.

Working on the same diagnostic approach as acupuncture, Chinese herbalism works by re-establishing the natural balance and harmony within the body.

A herbal prescription will include several herbs working together in combination to treat the person as a whole. Chinese herbal formulas include hundreds of popular organic ingredients that work in harmony to produce the desired effects in a person’s body. These ingredients are primarily of plant origin, and may include roots, bark, seeds, flowers and leaves. Each organic ingredient has unique characteristics such as energy (qi) boosting, heat draining, etc. Chinese herbs are offered in pre-mixed pill, tablet, liquid, tea or raw.

Herbal medicine can be used on its own but is often used in conjunction with acupuncture.
